Who is Gabriel Strefezza?
The boy born in São Paulo seems to have started in the best way his adaptation path to the Serie A. His adaptation was tested after his arrival in Italy in 2016, coming directly from the Corinthians nursery. Aggregated as out of quota at the Primavera led by Roberto Rossi, he has played the last two seasons on loan with the jerseys of Cremona before returning to the base. The idea was to pack quickly in search of minutes useful to accumulate experience. His motive was to have the strength to challenge in his race.
What is Gabriel Strefezzas’ style of play?
Strefezza is one of the most positive novelties proposed to his teammates in this first seasonal glimpse. He is very humble and controls the game, whether attacking or defending. Like most midfielders, Strefezza is concerned about the glory of his team and not his personal glory. When it comes to defending, he is very aware of his opposition movements in his box. He also shows a massive strength when it comes to attacking; positioning himself where he should be and finding his teammates with a pass. Such a special prospect, and we will not be surprised if he comes out as one of the best midfielders in Italy.
What are Gabriel Strefezzas’ strengths?
Strefezza is a player which does not possess a whole lot of physical explosiveness but certainly possesses a higher technical rate; a characteristic that could soon become a variant as effective and lethal. He is eclectic of nature, capable of merging different styles within a game. His movement off the ball is a joy to watch as he’s seen most times, anticipating the direction of the ball. He is one midfielder who gets past his markers with quick pace and dribbling abilities. He possesses some attacking abilities like: passing, crossing, vision, pace and stamina. The young Brazilian is determined in taking his game to the next level and with time, he will get offers from top teams in Europe.
What are Gabriel Strefezzas’ Weaknesses?
Standing at 168cm he is not such a contender with physical battles. His physique hinders him from contending in aerial battles as well. In defense; he is not too good when marking players. In situations where his team is under pressure, he seems lost and cannot help his team in the defense. Generally, Strefezza is a very good young player but there are areas where he lacks in the game. These areas can be improved as time goes by. He just needs the right mentors to help him improve his game. We are only sure he is moving in the right direction.

Current season (19/20)
Gabriel Strefezza has appeared in around 11 matches in the Serie A. At just 22-years-of-age, he is showing to be developing a formidable talent within the SPAL line-up. He has not fully found his footing within the team; however, he is definitely a very impactful player.
More on Current Season:
SPAL are not the club which are wildly known to developing talent, however, it is an exception for Gabriel Strefezza. Even though he is a rotational player at the moment, he still shows very good signs and traits; enough to make it to very high-level clubs. He has found his preferred position to be within the flanks. This allows for Gabriel Strefezza to provide much greater depth within the squad. Strefezza has shown that he is a very valuable asset for SPAL, his work ethic and discipline to succeed, translates perfectly on the pitch.
General Career Analysis
He has been a rotational player for quite a while in the past few years. Having played in Serie B and Serie C, he has gathered quite a whole lot of experience. Gabriel Strefezza struggled a whole lot when he was younger, and always fought back. He was released by Corinthians at 18 years to then move to SPAL a year later (Season 16/17) which they quickly loaned him out to Serie C side Juve Stabia. He played a mega season with the “giallo celesti” which attracted the interest of US Cremonese which took him in on loan. This translated to another good season full of experience in Serie B and further laying down a good path to this season.
Gabriel came a very long way for the love of the game. He gave his all and is still giving. He will not be a Danilo or a Marcelo, however, Strefezza will surely become a very formidable and a staple player in the future.
