At 15 years and 7 months, he made his debut with the AZ subsidiary. It took 23 minutes to score. In his first nine games, Boadu pierced rival networks six times. He was a regular in the U17 selection, even younger than most of his peers, which led the AZ to renew him until 2023 so that no one would tempt the new gem of his quarry. He had exploded on a scoring level and in January 2020 he would go to the Europa league’s Knockout phase, a very tempting showcase for the continent’s most important clubs.
