On long-term talent our Rating reads 56, top 25% of the 16 defensive midfielders in the Segunda División. At 24 Buurmeester is in his prime years, and a market index of 24 reflects that trajectory.
Below his 2021/22 peak but holding a solid level — the platform for a return is there.
Output in context · Leganes finished 17th of 22 · a lower-table side
3.99 tackles, blocks & interceptions per 90 — solid defensive volume, with 2 clean sheets across 10 appearances. Doing that for a lower-table side (17th of 22) is harder than the bare numbers suggest: a back line under more pressure has to defend more often and protects fewer leads, so the volume — and any clean sheets — carry real weight.
Strengths
- Defensive volume. 3.99 tackles, blocks & interceptions per 90 — does the unseen work.
Watch points
- Game time. Only 39.4% of available minutes — needs a settled run to prove the level.
Outlook
With a Rating of 56.4, Buurmeester carries the 4th-highest potential of the defensive midfielders in the Segunda División of 16 — though on just 10 appearances this season, so the standing rests on a small sample. Defensively he reads as solid defensive volume (3.99 tackles, blocks & interceptions per 90). Approaching peak years; value is still building (price multiplier 2×) with the best seasons likely ahead. Doing it for a lesser side, he profiles as a value buy for a club higher up the table.
