Field Insider started in 2019, built by two friends who shared a love of the game and wanted to share it with the world. It began as a football blog — rules, tactics, formations, training — and grew into a home for original, considered coverage of the sport.
This platform is the next step: a scouting engine that rates every player in our database on the same scale, so you can compare a Ligue 1 teenager with a Bundesliga veteran and actually trust the numbers. Ratings are built from what happens on the pitch — minutes, output, the strength of the league, where the team sits — never vibes.
Alongside the ratings sits a transfer-news desk that scores every rumour for credibility based on the reliability of the outlets reporting it, so a Fabrizio Romano tweet and an anonymous aggregator aren't treated the same.
Field Insider is run by co-founders Curt Ebejer and Steve Farrugia, its primary authors and the team behind the scouting model.
