Experienced headGoalkeeper

I. Koné is a 36-year-old goalkeeper at Boulogne, rated 11.5 overall by Field Insider's model, ranking 82nd of 85 on scout potential in the Ligue 2. A seasoned veteran, he has been a fringe squad member this season (23.1% of available minutes). Below: strengths, watch-points, market-value outlook and the latest transfer news on Koné.

Judged on this season alone, Koné graded 5 — a workmanlike campaign that ranks 17th of 19 of the 19 goalkeepers in the Ligue 2, on 2 clean sheets across 8 appearances.

Year-on-year, that's a clear step up on last season (Season 0 → 5).

On long-term talent our Rating reads 12, 17th of 19 of the 19 goalkeepers in the Ligue 2. At 36 Koné is into the veteran stage, where the age curve weighs on the projection, and a market index of 1.3 reflects that trajectory.

2 clean sheets in 8 appearances (25% of games). Keeping that many behind a lower-table side (15th of 18) — a side that concedes more — points to a busy, productive season between the posts.

Watch points

  • Game time. Only 23.1% of available minutes — needs a settled run to prove the level.
  • Age curve. At 36, both level and resale value are on the downslope.
  • Level. Rates below a nailed-on top-tier starter on our model.

Outlook

With a Rating of 11.5, Koné carries the 17th-highest potential of the goalkeepers in the Ligue 2 of 19 — though on just 8 appearances this season, so the standing rests on a small sample. A limited game time keeper carrying the gloves this season. Veteran phase — a short-term, lower-fee proposition as both level and value decline (0.6× and falling).
