Scout report

Experienced headGoalkeeper

E. Salles is a 32-year-old goalkeeper at PAU, rated 20.9 overall by Field Insider's model, ranking 77th of 85 on scout potential in the Ligue 2. A seasoned veteran, he has been a fringe squad member this season (31.7% of available minutes). Below: strengths, watch-points, market-value outlook and the latest transfer news on Salles.

Judged on this season alone, Salles graded 9 — a workmanlike campaign that ranks 13th of 19 of the 19 goalkeepers in the Ligue 2, on 3 clean sheets across 11 appearances.

Year-on-year, that's a clear step up on last season (Season 0 → 9). Over the 5 seasons on record his form has drifted down, peaking in 2023/24.

On long-term talent our Rating reads 21, 15th of 19 of the 19 goalkeepers in the Ligue 2. At 32 Salles is into the veteran stage, where the age curve weighs on the projection, and a market index of 3.1 reflects that trajectory.

Watch points

  • Game time. Only 31.7% of available minutes — needs a settled run to prove the level.
  • Age curve. At 32, both level and resale value are on the downslope.
  • Level. Rates below a nailed-on top-tier starter on our model.

Outlook

With a Rating of 20.9, Salles carries the 15th-highest potential of the goalkeepers in the Ligue 2 of 19 — though on just 11 appearances this season, so the standing rests on a small sample. A limited game time keeper carrying the gloves this season. Veteran phase — a short-term, lower-fee proposition as both level and value decline (0.8× and falling).
