Clean sheets

3.5 tackles, blocks & interceptions per 90 — moderate defensive volume, with 1 clean sheet across 7 appearances. Doing that for a lower-table side (9th of 12) is harder than the bare numbers suggest: a back line under more pressure has to defend more often and protects fewer leads, so the volume — and any clean sheets — carry real weight.

Outlook

With a Rating of 25.4, Spencer carries the 15th-highest potential of the central midfielders in the Premiership of 18 — though on just 7 appearances this season, so the standing rests on a small sample. Defensively he reads as moderate defensive volume (3.5 tackles, blocks & interceptions per 90). Experienced and reliable, but the value curve is easing (1× now → 0.7× projected in three years).
