Messi’s Masterclass in Los Angeles

Lionel Messi, with his perfect playmaking display, inspired Inter Miami to yet another victory in Major League Soccer. This time, Inter Miami beat defending MLS Cup champion Los Angeles with a scoreline of 3:1.

Early Dominance from LAFC

LAFC, led by Carlos Vela, dominated the game in the early phase. They were constantly threatening Drake Callendar in goal. The home side attempted goals time and time again with the attacking force of Vela and Denis Bouanga. However, they couldn’t get past Miami’s defense. Kamal Miller‘s defending was once again solid in the game.

Inter Miami’s First Goal

Despite LAFC’s constant attacking approach in the game, it was the away side who scored the first goal in the fourteenth minute. Argentine player Facundo Farias broke the deadlock. After conceding a goal within the first quarter of the game, the home side desperately looked for the equalizer in the first half but failed to do so.

Messi’s Playmaking Masterclass

Lionel Messi failed to score a goal for the second consecutive match in Inter Miami’s shirt. However, this didn’t stop Messi from delivering a playmaking masterclass in the game. His game awareness was second to none, and his single pass opened up the LAFC defense on several occasions.

Assist to jordi Alba

Former Barcelona trio, Busquets, Messi, and Alba, combined to double Miami’s lead. In the fifty-first minute, Lionel Messi delivered an outstanding pass to Jordi Alba, who then scored a beautiful goal past John McCarthy. This was Jordi Alba’s second goal for Inter Miami.

assist to campana

Lionel Messi once again showed his class when he set up an easy finishing opportunity for Leonardo Campana. Lionel Messi initiated Miami’s counter-attack in the 83rd minute and provided Campana with an assist to make the scoreline 3:0 in favor of the away side. Home side reduced the deficit to two goals when Ryan Hollingshead scored a goal following the corner kick in injury time.

Statement Victory on LAFC Fortress

LAFC had scored 18 goals and conceded just once in their last four home matches before facing Inter Miami. Their record in their home stadium is very good this season, but that was not enough to stop Lionel Messi and company.
