Top Free Agents In The Market Right Now (Ramos, De Gea,…)
Every club around the world releases their squad list every summer. This list shows the players who are either sold or whose contracts have expired and are let go at no cost. Those players who have completed their contract with their current club and are yet to find a new team are called Free Agents in the football world.
In this article, we will talk about the players who are available on the market as free agents.
Mariano Diaz ( Dominican Republic )
After a successful spell in Ligue 1 with Lyon, Dominican Republic’s Mariano Diaz joined European heavyweights Real Madrid in 2018. Despite winning eight trophies in five years with Real Madrid, including the Champions League, La Liga, and the Club World Cup, his playing time was close to zero in all of these achievements.
He played just 52 league games during his time at Real Madrid. Currently, he is without a binding contract with any club, therefore qualifying as a free agent. With proper exposure and skilled teammates to work with, he could still be a lethal attacker for any team.
Eden Hazard (Belgium)
After making an impact in the challenging Premier League with Chelsea, Eden Hazard’s career was soaring. He achieved success at both club and national levels until 2018. Following an impressive performance at Chelsea and the 2018 World Cup, Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid for a fee of €115 million.
Things didn’t go as planned for Hazard due to multiple injuries in Madrid. With four seasons passed and seven goals recorded at Madrid, he currently stands as a free agent after his contract ended on June 30, 2023.
However, there are rumors of him joining an MLS team just like Messi, or even considering retirement.
David De Gea ( Spain )
Spanish international and Manchester United legend David De Gea is also a free agent this summer. He has been the No. 1 goalkeeper for Manchester United since 2011–12 and now has his contract with the team expired after more than 12 seasons.
He has been the best shot-stopper in the Premier League since then, and he also won the Premier League Golden Glove last season. Despite his excellent shot-stopping capabilities, De Gea was criticized for his ball distribution.
Manchester United replaced him with André Onana this season, and De Gea has been looking for his next destination since then.
Sergio Ramos (Spain )
Sergio Ramos is arguably the best center-back of this generation. He has won multiple UCL titles, Euros, and many other trophies such as the FIFA World Cup in his impressive career. The former Spain and Real Madrid captain joined Paris Saint-Germain from Madrid in 2021 and has won three trophies in his two seasons with the club.
Ramos’ contract with PSG ended on July 1st, 2023, and he has been a free agent since then. There are strong rumors of him joining Al Ittihad, but nothing has been finalized yet.
Other Free Agents
There are several other players who are still free agents and are looking forward to offers from clubs, such as:

Here we will be giving more of an opinion, rather than facts. Are the cleats worth the price that they are being sold at? Should you upgrade from your current cleats, depending on what boots you own? What features stand out in these cleats? If any. Does it do the job? Speed, control, stability etc.
Depending on your needs/preferences. We can also mention its durability, if we have collected enough data on the specific cleats.
What did we expect vs. what we got. Is it maybe overrated/underrated?
