Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes Top Scorer In Saudi Pro League
Cristiano Ronaldo, the iconic and one of the two players considered to be the Greatest player of our time has recorded another outstanding feat in the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassar.
As the new league commenced its 2023-24 season on August 11 2022, several players have begun their rush to the top of the league in certain stats one of which includes “Top Goal Soccer” of the season.
Among players who have made their presence known to the league include Sadio Mane, Abderrazak Hamdallah, and Malcome who have topped the league with four goals respectively.
However, thanks to Ronaldo’s brace of goals against Al Shabab in their recent match, the Portuguese player is now the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League for the 2023–24. In the game where he put up an impressive performance, he was able to move from three goals in the season to five goals, becoming the player with the most number of goals as of now.
Al Nassr vs Al Ettifaq:
Cristiano Ronaldo was benched in the opening game of the Saudi Pro League following his injury against Al Hilal in the Arab Club Champions Cup. A Cristiano-less Al Nassr faced defeat against Steven Gerrard’s Ettifaq in their league opener with a scoreline of 2:1.
Al Nassr vs. Al Taawoun:
Cristiano made his first appearance in the Saudi League 2023/24 game against Al Taawoun. However, his comeback in the team was not worth remembering. Al Nassr suffered a second consecutive defeat of the season and was placed in the bottom half of the table.
Al Nassr vs. Al Fateh:
With the arrival of Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City, the defence of Al Nassr was rock solid in the game against Al Fateh. Cristiano bagged his first hat-trick of the season (scoring three goals in a game) in the game against Al Fateh and brought Al Nassr back on track in the table.
He also recorded an assist in the game, setting up a goal opportunity for Sadio Mane with a beautiful backheel pass. Cristiano’s hat-trick and an assist resulted in a 5:0 victory for Al Nassr against Al Fateh.
Al Nassr vs. Al Shabab:
After scoring a hat-trick in the previous match, Cristiano continued his goal-scoring form and bagged two goals against Al Shabab. He was presented with two goal-scoring opportunities from the penalty spot and he converted both penalties flawlessly.
He could have had his hat-trick once again when Al Nassr won a penalty for the third time in the 63rd minute. However, the 38-year-old Portuguese opted to hand the penalty to teammate Abdulrahman Ghareeb, who eventually missed the penalty but later made up for it by scoring a goal.
Cristiano also provided an assist to Sadio Mane. Al Nassr ended the game with a scoreline of four goals to nil, and they are now in the top half of the table with six points from four matches.

With four rounds of matches completed in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo leads the chart for the Top Scorer of the league and Top Assist Provider of the league. Cristiano has five goals and has provided two assists. Cristiano has contributed massively to Al Nassr this season with his all-round attacking performance.
