Club football is back | results , fixtures and more

With the end of the international break a couple of days ago, club football is back again. The top leagues in the world, namely the Premier League and Italian Serie A, will resume from today onward. La Liga, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 resumed yesterday. Bayern Munich and PSG are among the big clubs that have already started their season after the international break.


Last night, the German champions Bayern Munich were forced to share points with Bayer Leverkusen. Despite English striker Harry Kane scoring for the Bavarians, Bayern could not secure the win, and the game ended with a scoreline of 2:2. This was the only game played after the international break in Germany. The remaining games of Bundesliga Round 4 will start today.

The French champions faced Nice in Gameweek five of Ligue 1, 2022/23. Having already dropped four points in their first four matches, the defending champions were in serious need of a win against Nice. However, they couldn’t secure the victory and suffered their first defeat of the season. Kylian Mbappe scored a brace in the match, but it was not enough for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who lost the game with a score of 3:2. Like the Bundesliga, only one match was played yesterday in Ligue 1, and the remaining 18 teams will continue their campaign today.

Italian Serie A is yet to resume since the latest international break. With three matches played by each team, Inter Milan and AC Milan are leading the table with 9 points, followed by Juventus (7 points). In Gameweek four of Serie A, 2022/23, Juventus will face Lazio, and Inter Milan will face their city rivals AC Milan today.


Last night, only one match in La Liga was played. Rayo Vallecano beat Deportivo Alaves with a score of 2:0. Heavyweights like Barcelona and Real Madrid will resume their La Liga campaigns today and tomorrow, respectively. The defending champions, FC Barcelona, will face Real Betis today. Similarly, Real Madrid will take on Real Sociedad at the Bernabeu tomorrow.

The Premier League is by far the most awaited and anticipated football league worldwide. Gameweek five of the Premier League 2022/23 will start today, with Wolves taking on Liverpool. Similarly, other notable Premier League fixtures for today include ;
